OKE Advisory ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

OKE Advisory is an operational consulting practice working with African businesses. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at hello@okeadvisory.com.

2. What We Collect

We collect personal data that you provide directly to us, including:

• Name and email address, when you book a call, submit an enquiry, or make a payment
• Business information you choose to share during a diagnostic, sprint, retainer, or discovery call
• Payment-related information processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card details ourselves)
• Communications you send us by email or through booking tools

We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as pages visited and general usage patterns, but only where you have consented to non-essential cookies (see Section 6).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Respond to enquiries and deliver the services you request
• Schedule and manage discovery calls, diagnostics, sprints, and retainers
• Process payments and send related confirmations
• Send information you have specifically requested, such as community updates
• Understand how our website is used, in order to improve it (only with consent)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (delivering a service you have booked or paid for), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, improving our services), and consent (non-essential cookies and analytics).

5. Third Parties We Use

We share limited data with the following processors, solely to deliver our services:

• Calendly, to manage call bookings
• Flutterwave and Selar, to process payments
• Google Analytics, to understand website usage, only after you accept cookies

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the website to function, and non-essential cookies (such as analytics) only after you provide consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and reloading the site.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to deliver our services, meet legal or accounting obligations, or resolve disputes. Enquiry data that does not result in an engagement is typically deleted within 24 months.

8. International Transfers

As we work with clients across Africa, the UK, and internationally, your data may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with UK GDPR.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to request that your data be transferred to another provider. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

10. Children's Data

Our services are intended for business owners and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.
